Effect of inconsistency of any law with the provisions of the Constitution
"By Section 1(1) and (3) of the Constitution, the Constitution is supreme and takes precedence over the provisions of the 1st Schedule to the Electoral Act. Any other law which is inconsistent with the provisions of the Constitution shall to the extent of the inconsistency be void. See OBASANJO v. YUSUF (2004) 9 NWLR (Pt. 877) 144 at 183, ABACHA v.
